My artistic journey is not just about creating beautiful pieces; it's about sparking a revolution within the black community. Through my work, I aim to empower Black women to reclaim their voices, their identities, and their narratives. By standing proudly in our truth, we inspire others to do the same. In the heart of Detroit, a city rich with Black culture and resilience, my art serves as a beacon of hope and empowerment. I engage with other artists in the community, sharing my experiences and insights, and encouraging them to join me in the fight for liberation. Together, we are building a collective voice that cannot be ignored. As a mentor to students, I instill in them the importance of self-expression and authenticity. I encourage them to explore their own identities and to use their art as a tool for social change. By empowering the next generation of Black creatives, I am laying the groundwork for a future where our voices are heard and our stories are celebrated. But my impact extends beyond the confines of the art world. I am deeply rooted in the neighborhood where I live, where I am seen not just as an artist, but as a leader and a role model. Through community outreach and engagement, I strive to uplift those around me, providing a platform for marginalized voices to be heard. And as my work gains recognition on a broader scale, I hope to inspire black women everywhere to take control of their destinies. By coming together and reclaiming our narrative, we can reshape the world in our image. As Black men are inspired by the strength and resilience of Black women, we can begin to heal the wounds of the past and build a future where we stand united. Ultimately, my goal is to create a world where Black women are seen as the goddesses we were born to be. By challenging the narratives that seek to diminish us, we can force the world to recognize our worth and to treat us with the respect and reverence we deserve. And in doing so, we elevate not just ourselves, but all those around us, for when you uplift the least among us, you uplift us all.
